Reading Blog

For my independent reading, I am reading Scarlet by Marissa Meyer and it is already a page turner within the first 100 pages. The action has already started and it in a way it keeps you on your toes because it is sort of crazy in a sense. The main character is exactly like the main character in the first book. She is crazy, searching for answers, and always in the midst of trouble.

This book caught my eye because the first book ended with a cliffhanger. It ended with the main character deciding whether or not she wanted to escape prison and leave to go to Africa. In the second book, the main character has fallen through a roof of another prison cell and is still self conscious of who to trust. You notice also that the second main character has the same issues as the first and it makes you wonder are they tied together or just a coincidence.
