Hits and misses

   This year has been quite a rollercoaster for me when it comes to English. There were some pieces of writing that I really enjoyed and there were some pieces that I absolutely hated. Most of them I did not like though. First I want to talk about the pieces of writings I enjoyed. I enjoyed writing my research paper on Marie Antoinette. I always loved hearing about her "scandalous life". Even it especially fun to write about everything I learned about her. I felt successful with this piece because I actually enjoyed my topic. The topic grew on me more and more as the deadline drew closer.    I absolutely could not stand writing my personal narrative nor the literary analysis. I've learned fro this year that it is harder for me to become engaged in topics I am not interested in. With my personal narrative, I did not put my all into it. Human Nature: Imperfections

   I believe humans are fundamentally meant to be flawed. We all make mistakes which then lead to us learning our lesson, but then turning back to do it again. We all turn towards others for advice and still make the wrong decisions. It's like its an unintentional program in humans minds to make mistakes before we grow from them. But I've also learned that we bounce back even harder from our mistakes when we try again   One time, I was working on having better time management skills. I was practicing writing assignments down and even cutting down my social time. Well eventually I got bored with this new routine and gave up. So I began to be lazy and not turn assignments in on time. After a couple weeks of nothing my lazy streak, I picked backup the pace and finished the class with an A. I realized I wasn't perfect, but I still had to do the best I could so that my imperfections wouldn't label who I was.

Free Post

  So over the last couple of weeks, I'd been in a funk. I didn't want to talk to people. I wasn't eating as much. I was sleeping away my problems! I wasn't even getting my nails done as often as I love to!  Which I get done basically every week. I was confused as to why my spirit was so negative and gloomy. Then it finally clicked for me. It wasn't me! It was the negative energy around me. At the time, my "so called friends" were talking about me, leaving me when things got rough, and  not checking on me at all.   If you know me, you know I'm a very spiritual person. I started to pray at night and stay to myself a little bit more to start growth within myself. What I learned from this experience was two major things that have helped me become a better person.
